Pilgrim’s Progress Discussion, March 27

I would venture a guess that most of us reading Bunyan together have finished Part 1 and are into Part 2 (if not, don’t worry, still lots of time to finish before the movie and the ACG on April 28th).
Aside from portions of the Bible, Bunyan’s description of crossing the River and entering into the King’s City may be the most powerful description of heaven I have ever read. It may be healthy to read it monthly, even weekly, and so ‘set our minds on things above’…

Pilgrim’s Progress Discussion, March 6

I hope at this point in your reading you’ve made it with Christian to Calvary and up Hill Difficulty (if not, no worries – still plenty of time, but spoilers lay ahead)! I love the moment when the burden rolls away down the hill into the sepluchre!

I am interested to hear your thoughts/reactions to Christian losing his scroll after having fallen asleep in the arbour on his way up Hill Difficulty…

Church Read: Pilgrim’s Progress

This week we announced an all church reading endeavor – Pilgrim’s Progress. This book has been translated into 200+ languages and, aside from the Bible, is the best selling book of all time. Why? Read along with us and find out! It is one of the very few works of fiction I (Dan W.) have read multiple times – this will be my fourth. It’s worth it every time!

Visit the blog often and leave your comments as you read with us. It will be a transformative journey!
