Care Ministry Volunteer Opportunities: Bring hope and help to people in our church family who are experiencing difficulties–be part of a pool of volunteers the Deacons can call upon if needed. Please fill out a Care Ministry Volunteer Opportunities Survey to let us know how you can help.

Memorial Service: Please join us in praying for Kyle Strickler and family at the passing of his mother, Barbara, in Pennsylvania on Aug. 18th. A memorial service will be held at CCC on Saturday, Sept. 16th, at 2pm. Barbara’s obituary

BTown Worship Night: Join us and others in our community for a Night of Worship on Sunday, Sept. 24th, 6-8pm. Along with several area churches, we will gather at the amphitheater at Switchyard Park for worship! Food trucks starting at 4:00pm. 

Maternal Advocates Resource Alliance (MARA) is a Bloomington-based community coalition that aims to prevent maternal mortality and severe morbidity in South Central Indiana. At 1:30pm on Saturday, Sept. 16th, CCC will host a MARA Listens event for families who have had NICU experiences. If you have navigated a NICU with a child, you are invited to come and share. Senior Adult Ministry (SAM) kicks off another program year with “Picnic in the Park” on Thursday, Sept. 14th, at 11:30am. We’ll meet in the Sycamore Shelter at Lower Cascades Park. Please bring a dish to share**, a joke to tell, and a comfortable lawn chair if you like. Questions? Need a ride? Baked Goods for Cru: Help us give the college students of Cru campus ministry a taste of home! Sign up to provide baked goods and snacks for IU Cru’s fall retreat using our online form or at the Welcome Center. Please bring your goodies to the church no later than noon on Friday, Sept. 29th.

Adult Community Groups (ACGs) meet during the school year on Sunday mornings at 9:15am and are mid-sized learning communities. Check out the current topics on the ACG page and join a group anytime!

Faith & Art Book Club: Meeting the 3rd Monday of the month at 7pm at Morgenstern Books. Join us as we explore the intersection of faith and art through captivating stories in both fiction and nonfiction. We’ll begin on Sept. 18th with Ordinary Grace by William Kent Krueger. GriefShare is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences. A group meets in Rm. 17 from 6 to 8pm every Wednesday, Aug. 16 – Nov. 8th. Come anytime or every time. Go to GriefShare.org/groups/168659 to sign up.
