Congregational Meeting: Our annual meeting for voting on the slate of 2022 officers and approval of the 2022 missions budget will take place after worship on Sunday, Dec. 12th, around 12:15pm. Members are encouraged to attend. Short bios on the prospective officers are available from the church office upon request.
Afghan Winter Clothing Drive Has Ended Early: We learned late in the week that Team Rubicon is wrapping up their donation collection program, so we are ending our clothing drive early. If you have already purchased items, feel free to bring them in; we will still donate them locally where they will be used.
Purchase Memorial Poinsettias We invite you to purchase ivory poinsettias which will decorate our Sanctuary during Advent. To order poinsettias, please pick up an envelope from the Welcome Center or use our online order form. Plants may be paid for by check, cash, or PayPal. Orders must be received by Wednesday, Dec. 15th.
Holiday Worship Schedule: On Dec. 19th, 26th, and Jan. 2nd, we will meet together for worship at 10:00am. Elementary, youth, college programs will be on break until resuming on Jan. 9th.
Christmas Eve Service Celebrate the birth of our Lord together with your church family at our special candlelight Christmas Eve service at 7:00pm.
Senior Adult Ministry (SAM) We are really looking forward to our Christmas Luncheon at noon on Thursday, Dec. 16, and hope you will join us! We will spaced comfortably in the Gathering Space around beautifully decorated tables and our plates will be filled with delicious treats! Please bring a dish to share that would serve 8-10. Your “assignment” is below. If your last name begins with:
A-C please bring a dessert
D-M please bring a side dish or salad
N-P please bring bread
R-Z please bring a main dish
Nursing Home Outreach: We are now able to resume our monthly outreach to Garden Villa Nursing Home (1100 S. Curry Pike), where we sing hymns with the residents and give a short devotional. Come share some Christmas cheer with the residents on Friday, Dec. 17th at 4pm.
Year-End Giving: Thank you for your faithful giving to ministry at CCC! As you prayerfully consider year-end offerings, please keep in mind the following dates to qualify for 2021 tax benefits:
- Checks must be dated and, if mailed, postmarked Dec. 31 or earlier.
- The church office will be closed Dec. 23-31.
- Online gifts must be completed in time to allow PayPal notification to be received by CCC before midnight on Dec. 31.
