All-Church Cookout & Swimming: Join our church family for our annual summer cookout and swimming on Saturday, August 2.  We’ll start at 5:30pm with food at church and then move to the Mills Park Pool at 7:15pm for swimming.  We’ve rented out the pool—feel free to invite friends! If you’re willing to help with the cookout, please sign up.

Programs Resume Aug. 10th: Our school year programs for elementary kids, teens, and adults will resume on Sunday, Aug. 10th.
*Take a look at the upcoming Adult Community Group (ACG) topics. We’re adding a men’s ACG!
*Huddles will have different rooms this year. To find your child’s room, check in with Aimee Tuszynski at the Children’s Welcome Station by the chapel.

Interested in Serving Our Teens? After worship on Aug. 10th, there will be a meeting for anyone interested in serving in our middle school or high school youth programs.  Pizza will be served! We’ll talk about the vision for the youth group. If you’re interested, please contact Emilio (or just come!)

Serve Our Kids: Mindy Flick needs two more helpers to serve one hour a month during the school year in the early childhood (infant to Pre-K) rooms on Sunday mornings.  If you could help, please contact Mindy or the church office.

Help Us Welcome Internationals at the FGA: We have 50% of the volunteers needed to host part of the 2025 Furniture Give-Away at church on Aug. 20th. If you could help, please go to myfga.org/ccc, contact Scott or Tracy Ketrow, or contact the church office.

We are still accepting donations of good-condition household items in the bin across from the church office. To see what can be donated, visit myfga.org. Furniture may be donated at Sherwood Oaks Christian Church the week before the Give-Away at the big white tent in the back parking lot.

Office Help: Lynne Snyder is building a team of people to answer the phone and welcome walk-ins during staff meetings. If you have a couple of hours early on a Wednesday afternoon once a month and are willing to serve, please contact the church office.

Senior Adult Ministry (SAM): SAM invites you to join us for lunch this Thursday, Aug. 7th. The men will meet at Mr. Hibachi and the ladies at McAllister’s.  See you there at 11:30am for good food and a good time with friends. Please RSVP. Questions? Need a ride? Check with Steve Wooden.

Upping Our Game: For the past few years, in addition to being the largest team of runners at the annual Wheeler Mission Dash 4 Shelter 5K, CCC has been a church sponsor for the race. The CCC Outreach Committee aims to continue supporting this vital ministry in our community and to do so at an even higher level. To do that, we need your support. Would you consider making a special one-time gift to help us sponsor the event at a higher level? Our goal is to raise an additional $2,500 from the congregation. If you would like to, write “Outreach: Wheeler 5K” in the memo of your check or designate it similarly if you donate online.

Giving to Christ Community: Tithes and gifts can be given in the box at the back of the Sanctuary, by mail, or online at cccbloomington.org/giving.
