Community Night: Come spend some time with your church family at 6pm on Sunday, Nov. 26th. We know you may have just gotten back in town after Thanksgiving, so we’ll make it easy and provide the meal—just come and hang out! Music will be “unplugged” with clapping, strumming, and stomping, followed by fellowship over warm McAllister’s soup.
CCC Library Advent Reading Challenge: Stop by the church library to learn more about our Advent reading challenge for both adults and children. Great books, craft kits, and other prizes. Check out our large selection of Christmas and Advent books. Something for everyone!
BISM Christmas Party: Help us host the Bloomington International Student Ministries Christmas party at CCC, 5-8pm on Saturday, Dec. 16th! This fun event includes carols, a telling of the Christmas story, food, and mingling with International friends. Help is needed with transporting students, hosting tables, making desserts, and contributing door prizes. Contact Scott or Tracy Ketrow or the church office.
Senior Adult Ministry (SAM): Join us Thursday, Nov. 30, at 1:30pm. We’ll prepare place settings for The Warehouse Christmas party. They’re expecting nearly 500, so we need your help! We’ll snack and have lots of fun, too. Special thanks to Doug and Kaye Kayser for helping the whole church learn more about this amazing ministry.
The Season of Advent—A Season of Hope (Women’s Event): Join the women of CCC in a safe and sacred space where you can explore the upcoming season of Advent and see what God might be inviting you to this year. If you didn’t make it last week, come Thursday, Nov. 30, at 6:30pm in the CCC Chapel. Reserve your spot
Dash 4 Shelter: Join others from CCC in walking or running this 5K (3.1 miles), which starts at Karst Farm Park at 10:30am on Saturday, Dec. 2nd. Your $30 entry fee will support the work of Wheeler Mission Bloomington. To register, go to https://runsignup.com/RaceGroups/152848 and select the CCC group. Scholarships are available—contact the church office.
Memorial Poinsettias: We invite you to purchase poinsettias in honor or in memory of loved ones, which will decorate our Sanctuary during Advent. Plants may be ordered using our online order form or at the Welcome Center. Please order by Weds., Dec. 13th.
Missions Budget: Thank you for your generous pledges! 2023 budget: $86,300 | 2024 pledges: $108,184
Congregational Meeting: Members are encouraged to attend the annual December business meeting for the election of 2024 officers and approval of the 2024 Missions budget. The meeting will follow worship on Sunday, Dec. 10th. Copies of the slate of officers and Missions budget are available at the Welcome Center. Short bios of the officer candidates are available in the church office.
Adult Community Groups: ACGs meet Sunday mornings at 9:15am and are open to all. Check out the current groups and join anytime!
