Serve Our Church Family: With school year programs resuming Aug. 13th, some needs in our Children’s and Youth Ministry programs remain to be filled:

Adult Community Groups (ACGs) meet during the school year on Sunday mornings at 9:15am and are mid-sized learning communities. Check out the current topics on the ACG page and join a group!

Community Night Kickoff: Food Trucks On Sunday, Aug. 27, 6-8pm in the church parking lot, we will have local food trucks on site for you to purchase your own dinner. Come, eat, hang out, play games, and visit! Bring your own chair.

Maternal Advocates Resource Alliance (MARA) is a Bloomington-based community coalition that aims to prevent maternal mortality and severe morbidity in South Central Indiana. On Tuesday, Aug. 22nd, CCC will host a MARA Listens event for families who have had NICU experiences. If you have navigated a NICU with a child, you are invited to come and share. Support Vulnerable Women: Sojourn House exists to defend, restore, and liberate women who have been exploited and trafficked. All proceeds from the Light Her Way 5k in Bloomington at 6pm on Sept. 8th will be put toward this purpose. Learn more or register

Wheeler Mission—Bloomington is running low on men’s underwear (all sizes, especially L and XL).  Donations are appreciated!  A collection bin is available at the CCC Welcome Center.

Senior Adult Ministry (SAM): Romeo and Juliet lunches with be on Thursday, August 17, at 11:30. The Juliets are meeting at Cheddars and the Romeos are meeting at Mr. Hibachi. Ladies, please RSVP to Kathy Ammon and guys please RSVP to Jack Baugh.

CCC Women: Interested in being a part of a Bible study here at the church in 2023?  Jennie Hession, Women’s Ministry Coordinator, is gauging interest for the new school year.  Contact the church office.

Faith & Art Book Club: Meeting the 3rd Monday of the month at 7pm at Morgenstern Books. Join us as we explore the intersection of faith and art through captivating stories in both fiction and nonfiction. We’ll begin on Sept. 18th with Ordinary Grace by William Kent Krueger. GriefShare is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences. A group will meet in Rm. 17 from 6 to 8pm every Wednesday, Aug. 16 – Nov. 8th. Come anytime or every time. Go to GriefShare.org/groups/168659 to sign up.

Office Help: We are looking to build a team of people to answer the phone and welcome walk-ins during staff meetings. If you have a couple of hours early on a Wednesday afternoon once a month and are willing to serve, please contact Lynne in the church office.
