Continue the Conversation: Starting Monday, Oct. 11, a group will meet to discuss the book The Third Option: Hope for a Racially Divided Nation by pastor and ex-NFL player Miles McPherson (available for $10 at our Welcome Center). The book is an optimistic call to a better way, a way of “honoring the priceless value of God’s image in every person.” Meeting in Rm. 18 from 7:00 to 8:30pm.

Women’s ACG: “Great Is Thy Faithfulness: A Hymn Study”. Ladies, join us for an eight-week study on some of the church’s classic hymns. We will look at the stories behind them, the scriptures that inspired them, and the promises to be gleaned from them.  No book or outside study required—just come, listen, discuss, and get to know other Christ Community Women. Beginning Oct. 17 at 9:30am in Rm. 17.

Men of All Ages: Mark your calendars for October 15th, 7pm for our first men’s event in a very long time, here at the church. Like a tailgate without the football game. Come enjoy some BBQ and fellowship! Rain or shine..

Help Us Spread the Word: Would you help us advertise our preschool? We ordered updated signs, and we need your help in spreading them around town! You can pick one up this Sunday at the kitchen or canopy entrances to the church.

Walk For Life: Walk for Life The Hannah Center’s 35th annual Walk for Life will take place on October 16. This year, walkers have the option to participate either in-person or virtually. Visit www.hannahcenter.org/walk for more information.

SAM (Senior Adult Ministry): On Thursday, October 7, we’ll meet at the church at 11AM and head out to nearby McCormick’s Creek for lunch on the bird porch. Please RSVP to Steve Wooden, email sandnwooden [at] aol.com or call 317-966-0435.

College Ministry: Students, power up for your week with dinner and Connexion worship on Sundays at 6pm!

Middle School Girls Bible Study: Hey girls in grades 6-8! Come hang out, play games, and study God’s word together! Girls are welcome to come to any or all of our meetings: Mark your calendars for 3-5pm on Saturdays, 9/25, 10/23, 11/20, and 12/11 this semester. Contact Anne at annethies14 [at] gmail.com with any questions.

To learn more about attending or requesting a ride, go to iubism.org! Americans, contact Amy Morgan to volunteer. (Drivers are especially needed!)

Groups for Women:  A few groups are up and running! We have Bible studies meeting Tuesdays at 9:30am and Fridays at 9:30am. Moms of kids up through elementary age, be sure to check out Mom’s Rest Stop on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month at 9:30am! Get the details on groups for women.

Adult Community Groups: ACGs provide a wonderful opportunity to connect with others, enjoy fellowship, and learn in community. This fall, we will offer one Sunday morning ACG at 9:30am and one at 11:00am. While the topics are different in each hour, most topics repeat at both hours during the course of the 2021-2022 year. See what’s coming up!

Dante Reading Group: Dante’s The Divine Comedy is now 700 years old, but still relevant. A group out of Baylor University has initiated the world’s largest reading group for The Divine Comedy. Short weekly videos will be sent out and a group from church will meet once, maybe twice a month for discussion. If interested, sign up at the Welcome Center. Check out the promo video!
