Fall Break: Our 9:15am programs will not meet on Sunday, Oct. 18th, because of the schools’ fall break.

New ACG Topics: Adult Community Groups (ACGs) will begin new topics next Sunday, Oct. 25th, at 9:15am.  Feel free to jump into a group at any time!

• Koinonia in Rm. 10: The Book of Colossians: Celebrating the supremacy of Christ and the believer’s new life in him.
• Women’s ACG in Rm. 17. “I Love to Tell the Story of Jesus”: We’ll look at some favorite stories of Jesus in their Gospel context, ask what they illuminate about his life and mission, and consider how they instruct or encourage us today.
• International Coffee Hour in Rm. 18. “What’s in a Name?”  Names are significant, especially the names of God.  Explore with us the meaningful names God has revealed.  Designed for international students and scholars, but all adults are welcome.
• Men’s ACG in Rm. 15. “Faith, Reason, and Doubt”
  
  

Ladies of college age and older, if you missed the event on Oct. 10th you are encouraged to take a look at the mini-events that have been scheduled over the next few months and sign up for whatever interests you. The lists are on the window of Amy Hendershott’s office, Rm. 9.

October Community Night: Community Night is a monthly gathering for worship, a brief message or testimony, and a shared meal. Please join us for the October Community Night at 6pm on Oct. 25th, when Amy Hendershott will speak on “How to Live the Christian Year” using the rhythms of the liturgical calendar. Vicky Getty’s IU dietetics program students will provide a pasta dinner for us.

Parent Conversation on Catechism: Parents with kids of all ages are invited to join us for a Parent Conversation on Catechism. What is catechism? At this parent conversation we will explore ways to use catechism at home with our kids, hear from parents who have “been there – done that,” and share resources and ideas with each other. Thursday, October 29 at 6:30 pm in the chapel. Child care provided, but signup is required so we provide enough caregivers.

Missions Budget Pledge Drive: CCC Missions is funded entirely by donations you designate to missions; no funding comes from the church’s general budget or offering. The 2027 Missions budget will be set by the amount of pledges received in October. Please prayerfully consider completing a pledge this month to give next year toward our missionaries and projects around the world.

Housemoot with Faith+Art Book Club—Fall 2026: This fall, the Faith+Art Book Club is partnering with The Rabbit Room’s Housemoot, a collection of lectures, readings, and discussions that explore faith, imagination, and the cultivation of truth, goodness, and beauty. If you’d like to join us, check out the schedule with meeting dates and reading information.

Crafting Calm: As a parent, it’s hard to juggle the needs of family without losing our own identities in the process. Come be yourself again at Crafting Calm, where parents of school-age children – from first-timers to seasoned veterans – can meet for unstructured time and a purpose other than our role as caretakers. Bring your own craft project, or don’t; we are a community for YOU. Meets Wednesdays during the school year, from 9:30am to noon in Room 15.

GriefShare is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences. A group meets weekly on Wednesdays in Rm. 17 from 6 to 8pm, through Nov. 4th. You can sign up at griefshare.org.
