Summer Worship Schedule: Mark your calendars! Beginning on Sunday, May 22nd, we will gather all together for worship at 10:30am.

Congregational Meeting: Members, please plan to stay after worship on May 22nd for our annual spring business meeting, when the 2022-23 fiscal year general budget proposal will be submitted for approval.

Celebrating the Mangrums: Please join us in celebrating John and Lori Mangrum and their 30 years of ministry to our church at a lunch following worship and the congregational meeting on Sunday, May 22nd. We would love for you to write them a card or note with a word of thanks, a favorite memory, or a way in which their ministry has impacted your family to bring to the lunch. If you have photos of John or Lori with members of our congregation over the years, please send them to Lynne in the church office or bring them in to be scanned. Want to help at the lunch? Sign up here!

Serve at Camp! Get in on the fun at Preo or Camp O–find a volunteer shift (or more) on our SignupGenious page and help make camp happen!

Play with Kids: Help us show our youngest kids how church is a place where they are safe and loved. Would you be willing to take a shift in our early childhood rooms this summer and serve our families? Check out our signup page.

Sponsor a Child at Camp: We have never turned away a camper because of cost and we don’t want to start now! Scholarships of $140 and $240 are needed, but donations of any amount are appreciated. Please make any checks out to CCC and indicate “camp scholarship” on the memo line. To donate online, make a designated gift on our Giving page and write “camp scholarship” in the special instructions section.

Summer Reading Program: The CCC Library is having a Summer Reading Challenge for kids.  Sign up and pick up a Bingo card in the library after the service this Sunday.

Southern Indiana 6K for Water: Did you know that 6 kilometers is the average distance people in the developing world walk for water each day? Sign up to walk or run the Southern Indiana 6K for Water on Saturday, May 21st, and you will be bringing life-changing, clean water to communities in need. Visit southernindiana6k.com to learn more and register; contact the church office for a registration promo code if it would help make this event more accessible to you. To volunteer, check out the 6K’s SignupGenius page. CCC Missions is helping to sponsor this event.

Meet Me at the Playground: We’re back this summer on Thursdays, 10am-noon, June 9-July 28th. This is a great friendship-building time for kids and moms alike! Everyone is welcome! In addition to the playground, there is plenty of green space for adventurous big kids and a blanket area for equally adventurous but less mobile babies. *If you bring snacks or a picnic lunch, please make sure they are peanut free. *If you have any questions or would like to receive email reminders, please contact Stacy Gregory or the church office.

Senior Adult Ministry (SAM) SAM invites you to Picnic in the Park! Meet us at the Sycamore Shelter in Lower Cascades Park on Thursday, June 2, at 11:30am for a pitch-in picnic. Suggested donations by last name: A-H dessert, I-P main dish, R-Z side dish/salad. Questions? Need a ride? Call Steve Wooden.

May Energy Action: Air Conditioning Who knows what kind of weather May will hold, but it’s a good time to start practicing NOT turning on the AC and finding ways to keep cool before adjusting the thermostat. Please read the May Action Sheet, which reminds us how much energy AC takes (and how it drives up our electric bill!)

  1. In so thankful for your church and the way you have loved my son in law John and my daughter Lori. They are wonderful servants of God, and they are walking onto what’s ahead for them in life’s journey. Bless you pastor Bob and all the people there for loving my kids. They have sure loved you and serving there at Christ Community.
